NSC [Negative Split Carbon] or simply "we".
We started NSC as underdogs, with the goal to challenge the status quo and democratise carbon – [why is carbon so expensive; why can't it be for all cyclists?]. If it’s accessible, then anyone – no matter how little they know – can find their way into riding carbon. More than anything, it’s about making it easy to understand and affordable to get going.
This has been our little mission, supporting our riders here in New Zealand and around the world, since 2018 when we launched our first sets of road wheels.
From these beginnings we've listened to our riders - re-specifying our products, refining our offerings and adapting ourselves to what cyclists need. We're proud of our riders, and thankful for our customers and supporters who have helped us to build this little company.
At its heart, we are passionate cyclists, racers, and adventurers, not so different to you. As we like to say — "LET US RIDE"
IN EVERY WHEEL IT READS; 'DESIGNED IN MADRID, CREATED IN XIAMEN, TESTED IN AUCKLAND'.
How so?
We work with the carbon fibre experts to design and deliver our products - those who have proven their talents in carbon fibre manufacturing. Our wheels are moulded, assembled and trued by these experts in Xiamen, China, before being tested and shipped to our locations — NZ and around the world.
Underdogs.
We like that word. We call ourselves the underdogs of the bicycle carbon wheel industry. No one knows us, we're not expected, you might think we lack experience and credibility, we're too small, unable to innovate, we're too cheap, we're no good.
Instead, we're bold, we're dreamers. We question and challenge, and we push, we push the limits of what's possible. And keep pushing, relentless, persevering until we negative split.
Then, and only then, it might happen. The underdog is underdog no more.'
