PROFESSIONAL MID-LONG DISTANCE TRIATHLON
3rd at Ironman New Zealand 2021 on debut
"I started cycling in 2018 when I picked up triathlon. I had never cycled before so it was a steep learning curve - one of the first times I got on a road bike, I biked straight into a curb! I absolutely love cycling now.
My favourite part is descending - it always makes the climb worth it.I'm into my second season of racing professionally in triathlon this year. I'm based in Wellington so I'm constantly battling the weather conditions. My motivation is working hard, ticking off each session and pushing my body to see how far it can go. "
SPRINT DISTANCE TRIATHLON
"I live in Tauranga and am training under Craig Kirkwood. I started off on the mountain bike trying to keep up with my parents through the trails of B.C Canada. Since then I’ve switched to triathlon but still head over to the Redwoods to mountain bike whenever I can! My biggest motivation has been not getting beaten by my two younger brothers who are always chasing me down. My current goal is to represent Canada at the U23 World Championships in Montreal later this year."
U23 WOMEN'S ROAD CYCLING
"As soon as the training wheels were off I was gone. I grew up chasing my brother through the forests of Rotorua on a mountain bike, then we moved to Wanaka where I took up Ironman racing and finally focused on road cycling. Going fast on two wheels is what gets me up in the morning and riding while yarning with my mates.
I love riding with new people, finding out their story and seeing them enjoy it as much as me. I'm looking forward to getting a few more NZ races under my belt and then it's off to Europe to ride for my new team Torelli. If you're in the area, hit me up to go for a ride!"
PROFESSIONAL LONG DISTANCE TRIATHLON
"I am a Waikato based Professional long distance triathlete and ultra runner. I have been competing at a high level for over 10 years, and have raced 35 Ironman events so far.
I am currently coaching a bunch of great motivated athletes in a range of endurance sports.
My background is in strength and conditioning, and obviously years of endurance training, trial and error, and am always learning and researching with the ever evolving training philosophies and gear/equipment selection."
XC MOUNTAIN BIKE & TRACK CYCLING
"My lifestyle has always evolved around sport, whether that be on the football field, on the athletics track, surfing or on the bike. After returning from racing Track and Field in the States I dabbled in Triathlon where I quickly discovered my love for riding. This progressed as I went from riding on the road, to the velodrome in Cambridge and then to the mountains.
I’m motivated by the thought of spending hours on the trails with my mates or trying to hold a wheel around the track and of course hitting out fast times on the racecourse.
My plan for the next few years includes racing at a national and international level all while continuing to grow my passion for the sport. I’m beyond excited to be part of the Negative Split Carbon team and eager to see where this partnership takes us."

HALL OF FAME
Josh played a key role in nscarbon's inception and had a strong influence in what we stand for today. From agreeing to work with us in late 2018 to becoming Age Group World Champion in Switzerland in 2019, then leaving the sport to focus on family and work, he showed us what the best leaders are made of.
In many ways, we at nscarbon look forward to lead the way he does, with a smile on our face, a big dose of humility, and always ready to help without asking anything in return.
We are forever grateful mate.
